Asked for early check and was told if it is cleaned and inspected we could get in early. Waited by the room for couple hours and there was never any cleaners or inspection, must have been prior to us arriving. Regardless it would have been easier for them to just say we don’t allow early check in and it would have been ended right there. Also must of been kids week because the resort had more kids than adults and it was loud and crowded.

beautiful location

The Honua Kai Konea is a beautiful location with pools, the beach and Duke’s right out the back and within walking distance to great food trucks and coffee. Loved the spacious 2nd floor patio and the staff at this location is friendly and helpful. While only a short stay, it was extremely comfortable and would love to revisit.

The place was the perfect size for my husband and I on our honeymoon and exactly as described. The balcony was enormous and we enjoyed many sunny mornings eating breakfast as well as beautiful skies in the evening there! The hotel itself was beautiful, in a great location and the staff there was so helpful and friendly. The room was located on the second floor making it easy the perfect location to escape from everything but close enough to run right the the general store down stairs for late snack run! They had beach chairs and umbrellas to use which we definitely took advantage of. The beach, pool, and many restaurants are walking distance. Our (my husbands) only “problem” with the place was that the bed is 2 doubles sofas put together to make one bigger mattress, making there be a big crack in the middle of the bed and for a 6’2 man he was not very comfortable. But overall we really enjoyed ourselves with an easy check-in/out process! We would definitely stay here again.

This unit will remain air-conditioned during all available rental dates, and we have blocked off the period when this unit will be under construction. Guests may hear intermittent noise from work in nearby units, including brief use of hammer drills, though these will not be used for extended periods. Work will take place on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekend work expected unless the project falls behind schedule.
