Great location with a beautiful view. Our room was very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The poolside bar made some of the best mai tai drinks around! Even though it didn't have an elevator, it won’t stop us from coming back again.

This is all you need for a beautiful stay in Kauai! Love the location near the beach and markets and restaurants. Room is the perfect size for 2 people and nice to have a kitchenette and beach supplies. Hope to return one day!

My wife and I absolutely love this location. We stayed at the same resort years before on our honeymoon and when I saw this unit was available, I jumped on it. Second floor balcony looks directly out to the ocean which makes for beautiful and easy to enjoy sunrises. I loved that I could keep the balcony door open and listen to the waves all night. The unit itself was nice and clean with everything you need! The bed was comfortable and the AC unit kept things nice and cool. It's walking distance from Coconut Marketplace, which has shops, restaurants and a convenience store. I love the location on the island because it's pretty equal distance to the north and south shores. Communication with the host was easy and they were very proactive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!

Just seconds from the beach, this eastward facing oceanside studio enjoys breathtaking sunrises on the iconic Coconut Coast of the Garden Isle of Kauai. This unbeatable location is just 15 minutes from the Lihue airport, a 3-minute walk to the newly renovated Coconut Marketplace where guests can explore a variety of shops and restaurants, or a 5-minute drive to Old Kapaa Town where there is an even wider selection of island boutiques, restaurants, farmers markets and grocery stores. Settle into your relaxing Hawaiian getaway surrounded by unparalleled amenities and the spectacular tropical scenery.

This chic island-style studio room comes with a large California King bed, accompanied by a fold-out sleeper sofa that can accommodate 2 additional guests. The kitchenette has the capabilities for preparing light snacks, or heating up a meal in the attached microwave. A mini fridge and coffee maker is also available for your convenience, as well as a 2-person breakfast table for enjoying an early cup of coffee amid the tropical breeze. For additional cooking needs, the property’s complementary oceanside barbeques give the perfect chance to grill up some of your fresh island favorites. Take the opportunity to also enjoy a meal or an evening cocktail on the second story lanai and balcony overlooking the idyllic lapping waves of Kauai’s eastern shore. A flatscreen TV is mounted across from the bed for your enjoyment along with a split AC system for optimal temperature control. The ensuite bathroom boasts a shower/tub combo and a single vanity atop a polished marble counter.

As a guest of the Islander complex, you are entitled to enjoy the large swimming pool, hot tub spa and Tiki Bar. The Tiki bar serves a number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages daily until 9:00 PM, with a happy hour spanning from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM when guests have the opportunity to sit back and enjoy a cocktail to the sounds of live Hawaiian music performed on Tuesdays and Saturdays. There is no washer and dryer on site, but a reliable laundromat is located just a short 5–7-minute drive away. The condo has complementary high-speed Wi-Fi (300 Mbps) and free local and mainland telephone calling capabilities.

Being in such a superb location on the island gives relatively easy access to many of the main attractions that make Kauai so famous. Within an hour’s drive, you can visit some of the most spectacular vistas in the entire state such as the world renowned Napali Coast in the west, the idyllic northern shoreline, or the stunning Waimea Canyon in the south. There is no shortage of exploration and adventure on the ancient and uniquely lush Garden Isle of Kauai, and with the Islander unit #232 as your home base, the possibilities for an unforgettable tropical vacation are truly endless.

May 03, 2024 A serene location for a much needed getaway. I highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for an affordable rental *right on the water!*. Just being able to sit on the lanai each morning and have breakfast was surreal (also the benefit of having the cover from the rain makes it really worth it!). As an added benefit of being so close to the water, the room’s wifi reaches out to the beach! The apartment itself was super clean, has ample cooking equipment for a short stay, and some nice beach gear like chairs and snorkel masks. The property manager was super responsive helpful and kind, responding to all my messages immediately and taking care of any problems I had. The bed was comfortable, and the room has a nice TV with Netflix. The resort itself is super nice, very well manicured gardens, with a well maintained pool, pool-bar, and hot-tub. Also being within walking distance to many shops was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back! Thomas Keller

Jan 26, 2024 As many have said, you really can't get better in terms of location in Kapaa. Especially because this is a corner unit, you get the window on the side as well. The ocean view is impeccable. The hosts from Gather were super helpful and kind. The unit was very clean, easy to access and the grounds are so beautiful, much nicer than surrounding properties. No real negatives but I will say while the unit is stocked with everything you'd need it is BASIC. Dishware, bedding, decor (no real decor), furnishings, all super basic. I just feel like it wouldn't take much at all to make this unit stellar with more care to these details but I guess they don't really need to bother since it has all the other positives. That all being said I would stay again but would sure love to decorate the place a bit! :-) Angie Farynnyk

The grounds were like a botanical garden and the unit itself is the best situated: right on the ocean and steps to the pool area. Room was clean and had everything I needed for an epic vacation. Oct 12, 2023 Beautiful location! The view can't be beat! Proximity to the little market ended up being HUGE! Easy to restock the fridge and pick up extra shampoo, etc. It's a very short walk to some good restaurants and cool little shops. The pool is right next to the place. We felt this was a plus...especially with the pool bar being so close. The kitchenette was fine. You're not gonna cook anything, but the fridge was plenty big for drinks and leftovers. The microwave came in handy once or twice. Having the beach chairs and little cooler was really nice. We only used them once, but they served their purposes. The one ding I will give the place is that it's a little dated. It certainly didn't detract from the experience, but some minor upgrades would make the place feel a little more modern. Kevin (the property manager) was very responsive and nice. We left a few items in the drawers and he not only let us know promptly, but drove back in bad traffic to give us our stuff on short notice. Aug 16, 2024 Pros: perfect location, view, swimmable beach in front of unit and down the path to the right, around the corner a great beach. Excellent rentals and activities in the marketplace as well as awesome food, snacks, coffee, farmers market- thurs. The pool is great, open 9am-10pm and the bar has really good drinks! Cuter than the photos. The unit has everything you need. Keurig coffee setup. AC, comfy bed, nice sized bathroom. The extra window in this unit is great. Beach chairs, cooler, umbrella were great. Cons: The beach chairs are old and snorkel masks both had issues. The blanket in the bed was a very old fleece blanket. The porch railing was covered in bird shit which I cleaned. The beach towels provided were so old and small, bring your own. The shower head is strong but old and dingy. For the money, it feels disappointing but for waterfront view and all, it’s probably on par. We had a fantastic time. The unit having some downsides did not detract from all of the positives. Jun 10, 2024 The room was facing the beautiful ocean and right next to the pool and the tiki bar. But it wasn’t noisy at all. The property had lots of stores and places to eat. It was a mid-point to go to the north and the south of the island and was very convenient. The neighboring walkways were connected with other properties that I could do 5-mile walk every morning. We enjoyed the property because it was more laid back than other prominent resort places. The tiki bar’s daily happy hour (3-6pm) was very nice and fun too. Kay Galligan

Apr 16, 2024 We were in Kapaa for a wedding and it was recommended to stay in this area. The location and unobstructed ocean view was great, however we were unimpressed by the outdated and lack of cleanliness in the condo. There was obvious dust, dirt, and moisture build up around the inside of the condo. The bathroom sink faucet needed to be fixed as we could not get it to stop dripping on our last night. I understand that many of the condos in the area are not updated, but little touches can go a long way in terms of ambiance — specifically, the towels and bedding were clearly old and worn. The bathroom amenities (bar soap, shampoo, conditioner) were off brand and tiny bottles that would not last more than one night — when we stayed 4 nights. Given the cost, I would expect more care and attention to detail. We did not enjoy spending more time than we had to at this place. Tasha Fitts

Nov 20, 2024 We had a great time!! The unit has a spectacular view of the ocean and pool area (as it's a corner room) and is within steps of the ocean and pool. It also has a live rooster alarm who crows at dawn making sure we see the sunrise (a must)!! He was late only one day (maybe his day off), but we won't hold that against the owner of the unit since another rooster took his place! :) The unit was very clean, and we had what we needed. Great location to explore the north and south sides of Kauai, close to restaurants, shopping, etc. The managing team was very responsive and we had no issues at all getting in. We started our stay with rain, but didn't mind since we had a great Mai Tai poolside until the rain ended. BTW, Mark (the bartender) makes amazing Mai Tai's - (only by Mark). That's a plus for the unit - since it's in a resort setting! Finally, very nice touch to have 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. Parking is free as well! We highly recommend this unit. Mahalo! Jan 20, 2025 The location and the view from the condo were fabulous. Linens were clean and the kitchen area was clean. However, the place was otherwise pretty grimy. The floor had not been cleaned and the bedside lamp was literally coated with dust. Some of the glasses needed washing prior to use. For a week's stay we were provided 4 coffee pods and two wafer thin bars of soap. A+ for location and surroundings, but for the amount paid for the condo the lack of cleanliness and some supplies was very disappointing. Cathleen Read
