Always nice to come spend a couple of days around La Jolla. We had a much enjoyable family vacation which included a junior golf tournament. The house, location and accommodation were great.

The only problem we had was that the day we arrived, we didn't have heat in the house. In the future I would suggest the property manager inspect the property to make sure everything is working. It all worked out with the help of some space heaters and the heat/ac was fixed the next morning. The house is beautiful, spacious and the linens were lovely and so comfortable.

The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, making communication smooth and stress free from start to finish. The place was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and well equipped. It’s clear the host puts thought and care into making guests feel welcome. I’d definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others!

Dec 27, 2021 Great The views are outstanding from just about every outdoor seating area and most of the top floor. The house itself was laid out beautifully. With the common areas upstairs and bedrooms downstairs, naps were undisturbed. The location of La Jolla offered easy access to SD historical district, Balboa park and obviously it’s beaches, etc. Grocery shopping, etc was nearby. We especially appreciated the binder provided recommending restaurants, attractions and basic operations of the home from thermostats to the rice maker. Kitchen was well stocked from dishes to electrical appliances, a very nice touch. The welcoming gift of flowers, wine, and other goodies were wonderful. Your greeter, Lucy, met us upon arrival and answered our questions. She was very pleasant. The home was clean. We had no difficulty entering the house and probably didn’t require a greeter but we weren’t sure at the time we requested her. The neighbors were very friendly. This was a marvelous family gathering and we hope to do it again. One child age 4 thoroughly enjoyed her visit. Dorey Z

Apr 16, 2024 Amazing Stay at La Jolla We recently rented a luxury beach house in La Jolla and couldn’t be more impressed with the personal customer service provided by Gather. Upon inquiring about the property I received a call from the property manager who made the entire rental experience easy and convenient. I needed baby equipment at the house and I was provided with a concierge service that had everything at the home before arriving. In addition a property representative met us at the home to show us around and give us tips on the home. The home was spotless and exactly as advertised. Beats VRBO and any major vacation rental agency. All my future vacation rentals will be used through Gather. Carol C.

Dec 04, 2024 Coastal Lookout was the ideal home for our holiday getaway — perfect for our multi-generation family. The view is amazing, location is convenient, neighborhood is exclusive, above the fray, peaceful and walkable. Spaces are comfortable, with enough room for gathering or privacy. Outdoor areas are fantastic. Decor is tasteful. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare gourmet meals. The host was very responsive to our needs and requests. Leslie Rudawsky

Jan 27, 2026 This place was beautiful. Mainly the views, it’s even better than what you can see thru photos. Absolutely stunning. The house is quite large and all but one of the bedrooms are downstairs so it requires a lot of trips up and down the stairs. It sounds like they may be putting in an elevator which would make that aspect easier. 10 out of 10 stay. We would definitely rebook in the future. Maggie Graves
