Our stay at Slice of Paradise was fabulous. The property is truly beautiful and well maintained, and the management staff was incredibly responsive. We are eager to return.

This is a very impressive property; perfect for reunions / group get-togethers. It is located in a beautiful, secluded community. Short drive or strenuous walk to local attractions (beach, restaurants, etc). It is as described, and the hosts communicate well.

The best part of this home is the backyard. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the firepit, and the outdoor kitchen/grill. The house layout is a bit strange, but it didn't keep us from enjoying the home. Lots of beds and baths. House looks just like the photos. Love the location - right between Pacific Beach and La Jolla. Very quiet and peaceful.

We gathered our product team here for a working retreat. The main living space was perfect for all of us to gather and work while also having enough bedrooms for each person to escape and recharge. The location was nice and the place was clean and true to the pictures. Great outdoor space and nice kitchen (although some of the pans were not compatible with the induction stovetop). Would definitely recommend for a team retreat.

Experience the ultimate family retreat at Slice of Paradise, a spacious and newly remodeled 7 bedroom, 6.5 bath home located on a quiet cul de sac in Alta La Jolla. This one-story haven is perfect for multi-generational families seeking a luxurious vacation. The property sits midway between the chic village of La Jolla and the lively Pacific Beach, offering easy access to both shops and fine dining. Downtown San Diego and freeway access are just a short drive away.

The highlight of this home is the expansive indoor/outdoor flow, which seamlessly connects the living areas to the beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces. Take in breathtaking views of the ocean, Mission Bay, Sea World, Downtown, and Point Loma from the comfort of the outdoor sofas and lounge chairs. The fully equipped outdoor kitchen with bar seating makes cooking a breeze while others relax in the oversized hot tub or swim in the huge solar-heated swimming pool. Sip cocktails around the fire pit on the raised deck and soak in the stunning views over San Diego and the Pacific Ocean.

Inside, the home features three open living areas with ample seating, including a formal dining room that can accommodate up to 12 guests. The bedrooms are spread out throughout the home, offering a sense of privacy and tranquility. The first bedroom off the entry boasts a King size bed, writing desk, flat screen TV, two closets, and a seating area. The formal living room with large sofa sectionals leads to the outdoor patio, sofas, dining table, and kitchen. The light and bright Primary Bedroom has two walls of glass doors opening to the backyard and a modern enclosed glass fireplace. The ensuite Primary Bathroom features a jetted corner tub, a large custom shower, double vanities, and plenty of closet space. The other bedrooms include a Queen size bed with a relaxing seating area and hammock chair, a kids' room with two Twin beds and access to the garden, and more.

The home's central gathering place is the fully equipped kitchen with a large island, double gas oven, microwave/speed cooking oven, induction stove top, dishwasher, and deep kitchen sink. Everything a group needs for entertaining and cooking is provided, including a coffee maker, blender, food processor, hand mixer, Instant Pot pressure cooker, bakeware, glass baking pans, glass food storage containers, pots, and pans, serving platters, salad spinner, salad bowl, mixing bowls, measuring spoons and cups, cooking utensils, silverware, and dinnerware sets.

In addition, the quaint, fully equipped Casita offers a self-sufficient living space with a Queen size bedroom and bathroom, full kitchen, dining table, living room, TV, laundry appliances, and patio seating area.

Parking is abundant with a gated entry that parks 4, a garage for at least 2, and driveway space for 3-4 vehicles. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler are provided. A full-service concierge will take care of your arrival and planning details, including pre-arrival groceries, airport transfers, and custom experiences such as yacht parties and private dinners on the beach.

Please note that pool heat is solar, but a heater is available for an additional cost for the pool and oversized hot tub. Pool heating may not be available during the winter months due to its size. Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the home. The maximum occupancy of the home is 14 people, and guests must be a minimum of 35 years or older to book. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quiet groups, with a no-tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy, and/or parties.

This property is intended for use by responsible adults and their families. There is a zero-tolerance policy for parties, excessive noise, and events. This home is equipped with noise monitoring systems and the noise ordinance will be strictly enforced. No outside noise after 10 pm, otherwise the police will be called and the violation will result in immediate eviction and a $1,000.00 fine.

Please be aware every reservation check in must be met in person with a greeter from the property management company, self-check ins are not allowed. Our cut off for arrivals to check in is 8:00 p.m. after which a greeter will be available to meet at the property for access starting at 8:00 a.m. the following day. ID verification showing that the person checking in is the same as the credit card used on the reservation is mandatory. Failure to provide ID verification as requested will result in the cancellation of the reservation.

It is incredibly well-appointed - it has every possible amenity that one could want. It is very spacious and was perfect for our large family. Communication was terrific as well. Oct 23, 2024 We celebrated our mom’s 86th birthday and the property was all we could have hoped for! Pictures and description were very accurate! The 11 of us were very comfortable in the space - plenty of privacy with the layout of the bedrooms. The neighborhood was quiet and peacful. We paid the extra fee for heating the pool and spa. Definitely worth it as everyone in our group took advantage of the outdoor area all day and into the evening! The pool floats were a hit! Jul 15, 2024 We had 6 adults and 4 children (ages 5-10). Access to the house was easy. Plenty of parking for all. The home was beautiful. Nice to have bedrooms scattered throughout the house to reduce noise of those that awoke earlier than others, or stayed up later than others. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes for multiple meals. Handy to have sturdy plastic dishes for outdoor eating. The pool was nice. Great to have separate jetted pool area next to but separated from the rest of the pool. Plenty of space to walk around the pool AND seating for those that simply wanted to be close. The raised deck area was especially nice in the late evening and early morning. Steps leading up to this area need to be more highlighted. Especially at night for more visibility. The house was spacious and had nice furnishings. Outside door frames and a few trim boards need touch up paint. Front air conditioner did not work upon our arrival Saturday. Management was aware but no one would be out until Monday. Two front bedrooms were very warm those first 2 nights despite our efforts to leave house doors open in the evening to cool off these 2 rooms. Ceiling fans and/or stand alone fans would have helped. AC repairs were completed Monday. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the spaces. teresa thompson

Nov 05, 2024 Very nice setting with plenty of space to congregate inside and out. Comfortable, clean and easy all around. Would not hesitate to recommend or to book again. A generic complaint - having rented many such places- is the high cleaning fees (though fully disclosed ahead of time) - but still renters are asked to take trash to the curb, all towels to laundry room and even strip beds in some cases. This property still clearly worth it even factoring this in… joe johnson
