We enjoyed our stay here! The outdoor space, garden, and hot tub were great. We found the kitchen to be on the barer side in terms of having cookware and supplies stocked. We also noticed that only one of the sinks in the whole house seemed to have actual hand soap. Other hand soap provided was extremely watered down or appeared to be hair conditioner. The downstairs bedroom and bath are much nicer than upstairs, but all the accommodations were acceptable. The upstairs bedrooms do have interior “windows” to the loft area that let in a lot of light if any other lights in the house are on. Communication with Jessica was very smooth, and she was even able to reimburse us for some supplies we needed to buy, which we appreciated. Location was great for our weekend away.

Overall, our family had a nice time at this house. The location was optimal and the yard and garden were amazing. A few areas of recommendations: 1.) If you’re cooking there were a lack of mixing bowls and dishes for cooking. Bring extra if you can! Also bring a hand mixer if you’re planning on baking. If basic cooking, probably enough supplies. Expect to handwash dishes as they have the smallest dishwasher. 2.) The guest beds were not comfortable and could use an upgrade. 3.) If you have young kids, I recommend doing a once over on the chemicals in the house. They are in arms reach for young kiddos and not labeled with Mr. Yuck stickers. 4.) The floors were quite dirty - we don’t wear shoes in our houses in general and our bare feet were dark by the end of the night. 5.) The kitchen power kept going off and we had to reset it using a weird processes my dad figured out how to do. Customer service was responsive and they dealt with a few issues swiftly which was appreciated.

We stayed for New Year’s Eve festivities and really enjoyed the walkability from the home to the beach so that we could participate in the annual ring of fire celebration. So fun! Host was friendly, quick to respond, and the home was lovely. We loved the yard and pup friendly amenities, we look forward to coming back!

Really spacious home for our extended family's Christmas get-away. The house had lots of games, the hot tub was a nice treat, the kitchen was really roomy and well equipped, and the host was on-top of responding to any questions we had. The bed we had was a bit firmer than we would have liked, but otherwise no complaints :)

May 01, 2023 My family and I booked this for my birthday weekend getaway. My family and I booked this for my birthday weekend getaway. My best friend ended joining as well and there was plenty of room for all 9 of us! When we arrived we struggled with the door code (that was an us problem lol) but the host was extremely responsive, like within seconds, and helped us gain access to the home. The kitchen was fully stocked for us to make breakfast in the morning, big lunch in the afternoon and barbecue for dinner. Everything was clean and organized and exactly how pictured. The host welcomed us with a beautiful card and even remembered it was my birthday and made me feel extra special. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to others. May 03, 2024 An excellent getaway that's very close to Birch Bay State Park, Semiahmoo, the town of Blaine, and of course the Canadian border. The cottage is nestled in a small quaint neighborhood and is well furnished with lots of activities for little ones. Highly recommend for anyone planning to visit this part of the state. Sherwin Lee

The hot tub was very well taken care of and clean, and we enjoyed playing yard games while the dog chased his ball around the yard! When we had some issues, it was resolved immediately and impressively! I would suggest having some more variety of utensils and pots and pans stocked to cook. We would surely recommend it to friends. All of the people are also amazing and the host of this house was so helpful and cool this house was definitely one of the more homeie air bnbs that are family has stayed in and all of the pictures posted of this house were very real to the truth we absolutely will have to come back and the view was breathtaking!! Sep 03, 2024 This place was so cozy and homey. Had all the amenities and more. My dad loved harvesting the fresh vegetables from the garden. My mom loved the soaker tub in the master ensuite. Jul 02, 2024 This property is absolutely beautiful! We really enjoyed the stunning garden, beautiful garden view from the hot tub and the spaciousness of the place for our group. We all had room to spread out, cook, and hang out in different areas. My main complaints were that the hosts contacted us multiple times daily with conflicting info, including changing their request for quiet hours from 10-8 to 8-8 with “as minimal noise as possible”. It felt somewhat misleading from what was advertised. Also, the soap, shampoo, conditioners were mixed with over 50%+ water, so it was basically unusable. The hot tub wasn’t up to temp when we tried to use it initially (although we were able to turn it up, it just took a few hours!), and there’s lights full of dead bugs in the kitchen. That being said, we genuinely enjoyed everything by else about the place! It was clean otherwise, had an abundance of plates/mugs/silverware for a big group and would be perfect for family trips! Nov 19, 2024 As our very first Air BNB stay we were extremely excited upon arrival. We would buy this house. The pictures do not do any justice and it was perfect for our family. The kids loved the built-in entertainment with the game room, the hot tub and fenced in yard. I appreciated the soaker tub in the master, the dual sinks, washer/dryer, open yet, cozy vibe and impeccable, interior design. It is lacking one star due to cleanliness and a few issues (soiled comforter, hot water temperature, dead flies, and bulbs that went out). However, Jessica was on top of communication, touching on all my concerns (she even sent out a plumbing technician). We would stay here again. Jameson Vidal Toledo
Dec 02, 2024 A beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood, it was perfect for a family get-together for Thanksgiving. The kitchen was very roomy and worked out well for cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the family and friends. The kitchen is well stocked, but could be a little better organized. Plenty of room for our toddler to play and the fully fenced back yard was a real plus for the dogs. Jessica was very responsive and promptly resolved a minor issue that occurred at our arrival. We enjoyed the quiet and views of the birds—four eagles nest nearby. Relaxing patio and hot tub. Main floor primary bathroom very nice for our one gal on our girls getaway who has a bad knee. Only bathroom on main floor is in that bedroom. Be ready to share your space. Within walking distance of the bay and a longer walk to the cute restaurants and candy shop of the bay. Some confusion in communication and getting correct door code, but overall we enjoyed our stay. Lorinda H

Jul 01, 2025 Wonderful Experience This was a wonderful experience for my family (adult daughter, partner, and 2 dogs). The dogs LOVED romping on the bay beach at low tide (dogs can be off-leash), nice fenced back yard. The neighbors are friendly and kind. The view from the upstairs deck of the bay is so sweet, with herons flying overhead quite a bit. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable, from small things like the quality of the towels and the comfort of the beds, to lovely decor and windows that let in lots of light. We would stay here again in a heart beat. If you want a quiet retreat with wonderful access to nature, sea life and places for doggie adventures, I highly recommend it. Host was responsive but the place is managed outside of Air BnB which was unusual for us, but we didn’t have any issues. They could use a bit more seating in the living room for the amount of t of people the unit accommodates, and the dishwasher was tiny. That said, we had a great time here and would book again.
