Perfect for our family!

We had a great experience! The house was perfect for our family. It is equipped with everything you need, from kitchenware to boogie boards and coolers. We also enjoyed the geckos during our days in the pool! The host was very responsive during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Overall a great location and stay. A few cleanliness problems with blood stains on the curtain and rug in the master bedroom. Dead moth in one of the other bathroom showers that basically turned into dust when I removed it so I don’t know how long it had been there. There were cockroaches that appeared in the home as well so I would make sure you’re prepared for that.

* Please note that 7 private tennis courts and 20 pickleball courts are available for guest use for an additional fee. Of those facilities, 5 tennis courts and 8 pickleball courts have lights. Court rentals are $25/hour per court for non-members. If you’d like to become a member of the Holua Kai community, the court rental fee will be waived. To book a private tennis or pickleball court, guests may call or text Holua Kai’s shop phone and share the day and time you plan to play. A member of Holua Kai’s community team will confirm availability.
* Drop-in, Open Pickleball Play Schedule @ Holua Racquet and Paddle: Every drop-in play is open to members and non-members alike. Non-members pay $10 per session (increasing to $15 starting September 15, 2025). For example, if you join the 8 AM play and pay the session fee, an additional fee applies for the afternoon play. Weekly, monthly, and longer membership rates are available through Holua Kai’s shop.

Pickleball Update (Effective September 15)
To help us keep Holua Kai’s racquet facilities in great condition for everyone, a few updates are being introduced this fall:
* Open Play Sessions: Non-member drop-in rates will adjust from $10 to $15 per person, per session.
Punch Cards:
* 7-punch card: $90 (saves $15).
* 10-punch card: $120 (saves $30).
* Punch cards are valid for Open Play only (not reservations).
* Court Reservations: Tennis and pickleball reservations remain unchanged at $10 per person, per hour.
* Sign-In: For smoother check-ins, all guests will use a quick QR code sign-in.
* Members: simply enter your name.
* Non-members: name plus phone number (and email if requested).
These updates allow Holua Kai to maintain vibrant, well-managed facilities — ensuring you and fellow players can enjoy high-quality courts and a thriving pickleball community year-round.

The only issue we had was around the cleanliness of some parts of the house. The dishwasher was gross and smelly and when we arrived there were at least a dozen flies in the house that were quite a nuisance. Nan

Oct 28, 2024 The pictures of the house don’t do it justice, it’s even nicer and the neighborhood is in a quiet gated community. The layout of the house gives plenty of privacy to each bedroom each with their own bathroom and their own tv. The kitchen has everything you could ever need, well stocked. Full size washer and dryer with lots of beach towels in the cupboards above. The garage has all the toys you need for a day at the beach or just floating in the pool. We had an issue with the smoke detectors going off every night so we called and it was immediately fixed that same day. We would highly recommended this house and would give it 6 stars if it was possible. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Terry Rach

Such an awesome area on the Island - we loved coming home to this oasis every afternoon to relax by the pool. I don't think I've slept this well in YEARS too which is great to recharge the batteries every night after long days in the sun or sightseeing! Very clean and even all the kitchenware was organized so nicely which showed the time and effort put into cleaning and preparing the property for us. I loved staying here and would definitely recommend it to anyone else. Very spacious and very relaxing. The neighborhood was gated and very peaceful. May 03, 2024 The cleaning fee and service fee are really high for an Airbnb. However, the house is amazing. It is roomy, comfortable and perfect size for a family of four. They have everything you need from pool noodles to beach chairs and even bikes to ride around. And they even have a sunset view across the street. The neighborhood is calm and quiet, very nice for walking. This particular house is also right next to the community pool and jacuzzi but has a great private pool, too. May 03, 2024 The house and pool were great, and the kitchen was very well set up (the knives were actually sharp and there was even a decent knife sharpener). Really enjoyed sitting in the backyard in the mornings listening to the birds and starting the day. The location is good as it's nicely out of the high traffic areas to the North, but still close enough to everything. Highly recommend checking out the manta rays that hang out just outside of Keauhou Bay near by the house. The only negative is that the listing said that there is an ocean view, but the ocean is very much not viewable from any part of the house or property (there is a viewing area across the street and down a bit, between houses; where you can look across the surrounding golf course out to the ocean, which is beautiful at sunset.) This didn't ruin our stay or anything like that, but when we searched specifically for an ocean view and there isn't one from the house, it's a bit disappointing to say the least. Brent Schultz

Jul 17, 2025 Beautiful haven to rest and relax with the family (five of us in total). Plenty of room, comfy and super clean! One of the couches is a queen pull-out. Very well appointed as the pictures show. Pool was ample size to cool off, complete with numerous pool floats. Bikes in the garage were a plus that we used almost every day. Quiet and nice neighbors. The area is just right, close to many sights including 30 min south of airport, within 10 min of nice shopping center and grocery. Recommend this place without hesitation for ur family as well! It had everything you could possibly even think of to need. The outdoor space was immaculate and it was difficult to get us to ever leave the lanai. Communication was very clear and they proactively sent us everything we needed. The house was modern, immaculate, had very comfortable beds and was perfect for our multigenerational trip. Slight hiccup with the AC the first night, but Gather responded and sent out a tech to fix it the following day. Traveled with 3 adults and 2 small children, and the house had everything that we needed including a few pool toys, shower toiletries, ample linen/towels and a kitchen well-stocked with cookware. I would absolutely recommend this location for a comfortable get away slightly off the tourist strip but a close drive to plenty of restaurants and beaches. Anne Najera
