Beautiful house and responsive host. It was a perfect place for our large group reunion. Lots to do nearby. I highly recommend!

Beautiful home, historic and very well maintained. Much more space than we needed for our family event with 9 adults and 3 children ages 1-9. Location is fantastic, easy walk to Balboa Park and no more than a 15 minute drive from everywhere we wanted to go. Would 100% recommend and it’ll be my first look next time I’m in San Diego.

Jul 22, 2025 La villa è stupenda. La villa è stupenda, spaziosa sia in interno che in esterno, arredata con cura e ricca di particolari. La cucina super attrezzata e fornita di tutti gli utensili ed elettrodomestici per cucinare. Ampi spazi utili anche per lavorare senza essere disturbati. La posizione è ottima, vicino al Balboa Park e il centro è raggiungibile anche a piedi. Dalla terrazza si gode una vista panoramica sul porto turistico e in giardino è presente una vasca idromassaggio per rilassarsi. La sala da pranzo è molto accogliente e può ospitare anche più di 12 persone. Le camere sono molto ampie, con il bagno all'interno, i letti sono molto comodi. Abbiamo trovato tutto pulito e perfetto al nostro arrivo. Siamo entusiasti del nostro soggiorno e consigliamo assolutamente l'esperienza! Marina A

Aug 02, 2025 I really love the place. It was like staying in a museum. I would say that it could definitely use a pool and the rules can be a little bit more relaxed. I can see why not too many people were chomping at the bit to stay there that being said we were there for a business trip and it was a great space for us quiet and close to our destination. Oct 15, 2025 The home is absolutely beautiful and exactly as described! It has that lovely old charm and plenty of space—perfect for me and my sisters to gather for my birthday. We don’t see each other often, so this was a special stay. The house itself is wonderful, though a few showers have low pressure and it was a little dusty in places. Given the high cleaning fee, I expected a bit more attention to detail, but overall it’s a lovely home. My main issue wasn’t the property but the neighbor next door. When one of my sisters arrived and parked briefly in the driveway to unload, the neighbor came over yelling and cursing, which was shocking and unnecessary. When I spoke to the manager, she admitted this has been an ongoing issue with that neighbor. For the rest of the stay, we felt uncomfortable whenever she was outside. The home truly is beautiful and welcoming—just be aware the neighbor can be unpleasant. Marcel Melendrez

Dec 09, 2025 A great place for a big family stay. We loved our stay at Coulter House over Thanksgiving weekend. The property is stunning and unique with plenty of room to host all of our family. The kitchen is well-stocked, and has everything you need to prepare a big feast. The beds are very comfortable. The neighborhood is lovely and walkable to restaurants and bakeries and easy to get to the playground in Balboa Park. A great place for a big family stay. Lisa Weatherbee

Mar 01, 2026 Overall the house was as expected and as described. Possibly for a week stay more bath towels and dish cloths and dish towels could have been offered. Would definitely stay here again as with 4 couples with each their own “ensuite” was the main reason we chose this property. Everyone felt quite comfortable and at home in this environment.
