Perfect condo

Excellent!!!

We definitely will return!!! All the good stuff about Unit B105 - Air conditioners and fans were great - clean unit - kitchen is large for a condo - awesome - excellent location - putting green, pool, hot tub, fish market, grocery store, coffee shop, beaches, boardwalk by the beach and good restaurants - guest services were fantastic - lots of parking spaces close to the unit - nicely decorated - loved having a washer and dryer in unit - the grounds at Papakea Resort are immaculate - quiet and peaceful resort We are planning to return to this unit next fall.

The condo and location is great!

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Papakea Resort. First time at this condo. The condo was set up nicely and close to the pool and ocean views. Mornings on the lanai were quiet and peaceful. The only thing that wasn't so great was the construction noise each day in the condo next door. I know this is not the normal atmosphere so would definitely book this condo again!

Mar 15, 2024 Fantastic View Condo This is our 4th stay at this resort and this was the best yet. We really loved this ground floor condo with easy access to the pool and an amazing view. The lanai is awesome, with a table and four chairs, and a very comfy lounger. It was a great place for watching whales all week! One of the best parts was that we didn’t even need to leave the couch in the living room in order to see the whales. You just look out the large sliders, and there they were! They had several very nice beach chairs and lots of large comfy beach towels. Shower is awesome and the king size bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again! Jul 24, 2023 Wonderful Getaway! My husband and I recently spent a week at this lovely getaway for our 10th anniversary. The size of the condo and the location was perfect. I appreciated all of the little touches throughout the condo that help set this property apart from others - an arrival gift, sulphate free shampoo, chairs and towels for the beach, etc. Communication was fast and the location just steps away from the beach was stunning. Jan 20, 2023 Papakea B105 This condo was wonderful. The listing pictures match the condo itself. The condo was comfortable, clean, up-to-date and well equipped with everything I needed. The little welcome gift was very thoughtful. The view of the ocean was gorgeous. The pool, BBQ area and putting green are just steps from the lanai. Multiple family members stayed in different condos on the property, but mine was used as the family dinner place due to the great location. The property itself was beautiful and well maintained. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. The "snowbirds" who stay here made Papakea feel like a cozy community with many people on their balconies or lanais having dinner, chatting, and playing card games. The only suggestion I would give is to have an outside lock on the lanai sliding door. I found myself wanting to use it the most, but wasn't able to because I couldn't lock the condo. I only gave the property management 2 stars because they did not respond or acknowledge either the text or email I sent. It was not a big deal, but would have been polite. Otherwise this place was great. I would definitely stay here again. Jamie B.

Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at Papakea at least 7 times over the past decade -- and at B105 for 4 out of the past 7 years. (Sadly, the pandemic forced an unwelcome 2-year hiatus.) I've always enjoyed staying at Papakea. It is low-key, conveniently located and never feels over-crowded like the larger resorts. The grounds and views are spectacular. The resort has its quirks, including an inconsistent service level at the registration desk, but that is usually the only hiccup experienced. (And, I found it much improved in 2022!) While I enjoy the appointments and amenities found in B105, the unit is now under new ownership and prices have increased significantly. Based on the published rates on the Hawaii Life website, if I were to return in 2023, my 9-night stay would cost nearly $3,000 more than what I paid in 2020 (after fees and taxes), and about $2,000 more than the 2023 rates for a comparable rental in Building G. While the new owners and management company did a wonderful job of making me feel welcome, ensuring an easy check-in process and accommodating my request for a late check out, I cannot justify reserving my favorite unit at such a premium. Alas, I fear this may be the end of an era ... With that said, if you can afford the rate and additional charges (taxes, fees and refundable deposits bring the nightly rate for a 9-night stay up to $570 rather than $400), I highly recommend B105. There’s nothing I would change about the property itself or the booking process. We would’ve stayed longer if our next reservation would’ve allowed us to cancel without a charge. Property owners are in much communication with you. Neighbors at rental are great as well. Fantastic views you will see mini whales. Many amenities to offer. Great food within walking location. The kitchen is the most spacious well-stocked kitchen we've come across. If you love to cook, this is your unit! Jun 27, 2021 Perfect! We loved everything about our stay at Papakea. The condo was perfect. Very clean and fully stocked with everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable. We loved being able to walk out the lanai and be right on the beach or pool. This resort was spacious and not over crowded the way some others were even though I suspect they were at full capacity. We did not need to worry if there would be chairs available around the pool. Loved it and I would definitely stay here again. Kelly B.
Jun 11, 2021 Fantastic stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in B105. This condo is clean, beautifully decorated and stocked with all essential items. The master bedroom was very comfortable and tranquil. My kids slept well on the pull out couch. It was wonderful to have an AC unit in both the master and living rooms at nighttime. During the day, we kept the screen doors open and enjoyed the ocean breeze. This condo has an amazing view of the ocean and we enjoyed sitting on the patio each evening watching the beautiful sunset. The grounds at papakea are stunning and meticulously maintained. We enjoyed a short walking distance to many essentials- grocery store, fish market, ABC store, food trucks and of course, the ocean! Jun 01, 2021 Even better than the listing! My partner and I just enjoyed a week-long stay at this wonderful condo at the Papakea resort, and our entire experience was 100%! From the communications with Ivy, to how clean and well-appointed the property is, we have nothing but great things to say about our stay and can't wait to go back. We loved being at ground level, and strolling right out to the pool or the ocean, and for stargazing at night. The unit was eat-off-the-floor clean, and stocked with all the kitchen, bathroom, and beach supplies you could ever need. There's plenty of parking and it's an easy stroll to the ABC store, some restaurants, shops, and a pop-up food truck lot. Huge thanks to Ivy and Jim for sharing their Maui home with us! Rebecca H.
May 18, 2021 AMAZING Where to even begin. This property has it all. Literally everything you will need for your stay in Maui is all here. Coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, body boards, and more. The condo itself is gorgeous! The kitchen is over stocked with indoor and outdoor dining accoutrements. The view from the lanai is great, shaded in the morning with an amazing view and sun in the afternoon. To top it all off, the best part of our stay was the owners, Ivy and Jim. They are the most accommodating hosts we’ve ever had. We are so happy that we booked their home and will be booking again in the future. Jeff W.

Sep 21, 2019 Loved our stay at Papakea in Ivy's condo We loved our stay at Papakea in Ivy's incredible condo. From pre booking to post check out, Ivy was always so helpful and responsive in her communications with us. Her condo unit is outstanding, very nicely furnished with excellent upgrades, a great kitchen, and so well stocked you feel like your at home. It is also in likely the best location in the complex, with close by parking, beautiful sunset views from the ground floor lanai, easy access to the pool and BBQs, and so close to the beautiful lawn area and loungers over looking the stunning West Maui ocean, with incredible views of Molokai'i and Lanai. The condo is a very short walk to the terrific little beach making it so easy to go for ocean swims and snorkeling. We saw several turtles swimming by from our loungers. We are long time West Maui visitors and have stayed in several different locations throughout the yrs, and Ivy's condo was perfect for our stay. And with Ivy's fantastic condo comes the many great features of staying at Papakea. We loved Papakea's quietness, it's nicely landscaped open spaces, ponds and very large and well maintained lawn areas. Checking in and out was a breeze, and all the staff were a pleasure to deal with. There are also morning water exercise classes and yoga at the pool. Other great benefits staying at Papakea are it's close proximity to nearby restaurants, gas station, ABC Store, Times Market, and the Honokowai Food Trucks. We can easily recommend staying at Ivy's Papakea condo without hesitation, and are so glad we booked it for our week stay. May 19, 2019 Paradise revisited.. yet again! This is our 4th time staying at delightful B105. Just when you think it cannot get any better it does! The owners have added many delightful upgrades since our visit last year. To name a few, very functional and classy looking bamboo window coverings in the living room and shutters in the bedroom. The weather was very hot during our stay and with the trade winds and the shade/airflow the new window treatments afford we only used the air conditioner a few times. This condo is execeptionally well maintained and truly is such a delight to stay in. We stayed at three other condos in previous years and they were very pleasant but this condo is exceptional. We are already booked for next year and look forward to returning to the beautiful Papakea resort and staying at B105. Ivy is such an attentive, thoughtful and nice person. Nov 21, 2018 Comfortable We have been coming to Papakea Resort for many years. This unit was our favorite. Well appointed. Did not need the AC except a couple of afternoons. A huge upgrade from the old units. My wife is short and getting into the very comfortable bed was a bit of a task when you are 78 years old. Beautiful view of ocean from the lanai. The Swedes sure make an interesting washer and dryer. Remodeling was very nice. Even the bamboo curtains which must have been a bit on the spendy side. We hope to return next year, God willing. The shower had some mildew and the floor needed painting. David L.

Oct 10, 2018 Fantastic self contained apartment We have just spent a week staying at this wonderful condo at Papakea Resort. The condo itself is recently updated and has all the amenities needed to make it your ‘home away from home’. The Papakea Resort, although a little dated, has everything needed for a fun and/or relaxing vacation. There are no restaurants or bars onsite, but there are plenty only a short walk away. Plus there is a large variety of shops just across the road - cafes, supermarket, ABC store etc. It is a short drive to Lahaina in one direction, and to Kapalua/Napili in the opposite direction. Ivy, the owner, was very responsive to our needs and was extremely prompt in answering any of our queries. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Maui, we know where we will be staying! Close to shops and the beach. The grounds were beautiful. Great swimming pools and other outdoor activities. Staff was very helpful and professional. The owner Ivy was such a pleasure to deal with. She went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed and to accommodate us with extra requests. We so appreciated the extra attention we received. Jul 09, 2018 Absolutely perfect vacation stay in #B105 We just stayed in this beautiful condo from 6/28/18 to 7/5/18. I would actually rate this condo a 10 out of 5! We were thrilled from the very first time we stepped into this amazing place. We cooked most of our meals here and had everything we ever needed and more. From the amazing ocean view, beautiful lanai, washer and dryer, snorkeling, completely stocked kitchen supplies including spices, amazingly comfortable king size bed, (that I’m missing since we arrived home), very comfortable hideabed my daughter and her friend slept on, beach chairs, beach coolers, boogie board, great pool and Weber grill access and so much more! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to stay! Very clean and remodel is beautiful! Very short drive to many snorkeling beaches, Lahaina, and grocery stores. Papakea resort staff and consiere services were impeccable! We cannot say enough about this beautiful ocean view condo! Thank you so very much Ivy for sharing your beautiful condo with us! Jun 28, 2018 Exceptional stay! Well appointed condominium convenient to most everything; beaches, groceries and restaurants. The King bed in the Master bedroom was delightful - the comfort would rival any luxury hotel. I'm a light sleeper and I was so relieved that there was no outside noise to contend with - lovely, quiet location. Everything one might need on vacation is here - just bring your beach wear and sunscreen. The owner was fantastic, checked in with us upon arrival and was incredibly accommodating. Jun 28, 2018 Absolutely beautiful! We recently stayed at this beautiful property for 10 days. It is exactly as shown in the pictures. It is a beautifully upgraded and tastefully decorated ground level condo with putting greens outside the lanai and a large pool/jacuzzi/BBQ area directly across. We also enjoyed the beach which is just a few steps away. Some of our family/friends who also stayed at Papakea said our condo was the nicest of all! The grounds are beautifully manicured with a variety of beautiful flowers, palm trees and lily/koi ponds. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking! We can't wait to return to Papakea B105! Andrea U.

May 22, 2018 Another wonderful vacation at delightful B105 at beautiful Papakea! We have just returned home from our third stay at this lovely condo located at beautiful Papakea. We had such a terrific time that we are booked again for next year! This ground floor unit is just delightful to stay in and the owners keep it in pristine condition. It is even better than described. This year it was a treat to see and experience all the new replacements, additions and improvements that were done since our stay last year. It is very clear the owners love this condo and it is their home away from home. Ivy is a delightful and thoughtful person and a such pleasure to deal with. Ivy is prompt to respond and her follow up is excellent. Please refer to my two previous reviews submitted May 10, 2016 and May 9, 2017. Also, I was just reading the two most recent reviews written by the guests of B105 (submitted April 21, 2018 and December 13, 2017) and they express very well how my husband and I feel about this unit. Apr 21, 2018 Papakea (and Maui) call to our souls We figured it out. My husband and I have been coming to Maui for 34 out of our 40 years together and probably at least 20 times have we stayed at Papakea. For years we were devotees of unit A105 but as we either needed more sleeping beds or a different layout, we have stayed in other buildings and uniits, experimenting with views, building floors and directions to take advantage of the trades. May I say that I think we may have found THE ONE. B-105 has the perfect combo of view of the ocean, situated to take advantage of the ocean breezes and outfitted with such care and style I don’t think that the high-end hotels on the island could do any better. Ground floor unit so walk right out to the pool area and bbq’s or just a few more steps to the ocean. The sunsets are spectacular and you have the option of watching from the comfort of your lanai or joining the groups at the waters edge. The b-105 unit has a totally awesome king bed and there are extra pillows tucked away in the closet. Should the trades die down there is an air conditioner in the bedroom which is unusual for the Papakea units. We never had to use ours as the breeze as more than sufficient to keep us cool. The Murray’s have thought of every detail to make a visit so easy from beach towels to hair dryer, curling iron and straightening iron. Laundry soap and a variety of spices in the kitchen mean that you almost only need pack the swimsuits and flip flops to be good to go! Oh and the “activity” closet is packed with everything from books and games to putters, golf balls, boogie boards and sand buckets. My only regret is that b-105 is apparently not a well kept secret as looking at the availability calender will show. It if your dates fit, snap this unit up! The tranquility of Papakea, the proximity to the best fish market in West Maui and to the beautiful beaches nearby make this complex and this unit a keeper. We will be back as quickly as we can secure dates! Nancy D.
Dec 13, 2017 Updated, clean, and comfortable one bedroom condo at the Papakea. We have stayed at different 1, 2 , and 3 bedroom condos at the Papakea over the years and this one ranks highly. Owners care about your stay by contacting their renters soon after arrival with any concerns you may have. We appreciated the welcome gift of fresh fruit and jellies. It's is helpful to leave spices and cooking non perishable supplies behind so renters do not have to go out and purchase them . This condo had these supplies. This is one of the reasons I prefer renting from the owner and not a rental from a real estate company who never touches base to welcome their renters or to inquire if the renters have concerns or questions concerning their stay. Thank you Ivy for feedback on the wall decoration. I highly recommend this one bedroom. The Papakea is one of our favourite places due to its location, cleanliness, beautiful trees and flowers, and friendly staff. Jul 11, 2017 Wonderful Stay at Papakea The condo was excellent and even better than described! We enjoyed being able to walk straight out of the unit to either use the pool or watch the sunset over the ocean. It was also stocked with chairs, towels, coolers, and umbrellas that were great to have for our trips to the beach. Everything else you could need is within a walk or couple minute drive from the condo. We would highly recommend staying at this property! Ryan M.
Jun 18, 2017 Sunsets from the Lanai Such a beautiful condo in a great location! We loved the ground floor and having the ability to walk straight out onto the Papakea grounds. The condo itself was extremely clean with all the amenities that you may need from cooking to enjoying your day at the beach. It is within walking/running distance of the boardwalk that runs along kaanapali beach, which we definitely took advantage of in the mornings. We enjoyed sitting out on the lanai in the evenings and watching the sunsets. Definitely would recommend. Diana F.
May 09, 2017 Another wonderful stay at B105! This is our second stay at this lovely unit. It is just as delightful as last year. Please look at my review dated May 10, 2016 as it fits for this stay too! Since our stay last year the unit has been meticulously maintained and a new air conditioning system has been installed. We do not use the air conditioner much because the trade winds cool the unit down quite nicely however when we did need it, it worked very fast, efficiently and quietly. We had such a wonderful stay that we are booked again at B105 for next year! It has been such a pleasure dealing with Ivy she is very quick to respond and her follow up is excellent. Thank you Ivy. Jan 27, 2017 Excellent Condo, Owner, and Vacation! This was the first time I have used VRBO and the first time I have been to Hawaii. I was slightly worried how things would go but I will gladly say this was one of the best experiences I've had! First, this condo is exactly as presented. It is NOT run down and there were absolutely no issues. It is clean, updated and nicely appointed. It is a very decent size, which was originally a bit of a concern when I first booked as we have 2 very young children. It turned out to be more than sufficient as it has a pullout and we rented a crib from a place just down the street (very convenient). Being on ground level is where you want to be. We were able to have the kids cruise around right outside the porch area. It is immediately adjacent to the pool, putting green, hot tub and barbeques. The unit has putters, balls, all newer appliances, knee boards, toys for kids, umbrellas for the beach, etc. The walk in shower is perfect. The unit has a/c and ceiling fans. Being from Canada, our kids are not used to the heat, so we kept things a bit cooler. There not much of a beach in front of the resort, but we knew that in advance, and there's plenty of beaches within short walking distance. We spent much of the time around the pool so that wasn't an issue. They are working on the beach retaining wall but there was NO construction noise and we barely noticed. The only thing we heard was the crashing waves at night and that was a welcome sound. The resort itself is very well kept. It has everything you need and is overall very nice . At the same time this place is significantly less expensive than pretty much any other resort or unit in the area. Beth (the owner/contact) was excellent. We couldn't have had a better experience. She answered any questions or concerns I had immediately. She is kind, professional and timely. I wound highly recommend this unit/resort to anyone coming to Maui. This unit would be perfect for a couple, 2 couples, or a family of 4. Thanks again Beth for making our first trip to Hawaii a great experience! (The incredible weather didn't hurt things either.) Oct 21, 2016 The condo and location is great! This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Papakea Resort. First time at this condo. The condo was set up nicely and close to the pool and ocean views. Mornings on the lanai were quiet and peaceful. The only thing that wasn't so great was the construction noise each day in the condo next door. I know this is not the normal atmosphere so would definitely book this condo again! Heidi G.
Sep 01, 2016 This is a nice more traditional style low rise resort. This was a great condo with everything you could possibly need. The unit was well presented, nicely decorated with good quality inclusions. Nice big quality beach and bath towels. The air conditioning was great but we prefered to just use the fans. The resort is also well maintained with beautifully manicured grounds and facilities. It is also very conveniently located to shops, an ABC store at the edge of the resort, and a Times supermarket across the road. We also walked to Duke's one night for dinner and although the location was amazing with a nice ambience, the food was disappointing . We loved being on the ground level but unfortunately the work on the seawall is still ongoing and is behind schedule, hey they work on Hawaiian time, so the view was blocked by the fencing which I was told will probably be there until December. The only hiccup in an otherwise great holiday. Would certainly recommend this resort and this condo, thanks Beth and friends. Narelle & Peter P.
Aug 06, 2016 Excellent unit. Modern, clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay at B105 Papakea. The unit was well furnished and clean and the ground floor location was very convenient for accessing the mini golf, pool & shuffle board directly out front. The unit has been updated so is very tidy. The kitchen is brilliant and the shower is lovely. In suite laundry is a terrific bonus. Air conditioning worked efficiently. We put garbage bags up on the bedroom windows to darken the room for our toddler's naps - but otherwise, the suite was near perfect. Only thing we found missing in the cupboards was a wine corkscrew! FYI - Papakea has two sets of facilities. Directly in front of B105, the pool is quite cool. If you walk the short distance to the other pool it is significantly warmer. Perfect temp in our opinion. There is construction on the Seawall in front of our unit but we barely noticed. It was very quiet and our toddler loved seeing a digger everyday. A Seawall links Papakea with the neighbouring hotels and resorts and we found this incredibly convenient as our friends and family were staying nearby. There is a north car exit/entrance just outside our unit block which provides a shortcut to the ABC shop next door. A great option for a sudden requirement. Otherwise Times grocery, Slappy Cakes and a few other key amenities are a 5 minute walk beyond the main entrance. A wonderful holiday. A perfect spot. Thank you Beth & co. Stephanie M.
Jul 08, 2016 Nice condo but construction We loved our stay at this place! The condo was clean, spacious and right outside was the putting green, pool and shuffle board. It was perfect for our toddler to run around while we relaxed (as much as we can with a toddler) on the lanai. We had a slight problem with the wifi, but the owner responded right away. The AC worked well, and it was nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit. The only thing was that there was construction and barricade around the sea wall, so that was kind of an eye sore. For some reason, we also expected a beach where we can relax and swim right on the property. There was a very small beach when the tide was low, but not really a beach where we wanted to sit and hang out at. There were beaches to the sides of the property, but those weren't very inviting either. It may have been just the weather. These things are definitely not the condo owner's fault, just something we didn't realize until we got there. Overall, our place was amazing and we enjoyed staying there very much! Emily Emily J.
Jul 05, 2016 Great Location & Responsive Owner I stayed in B105 in May 2016. I had previously stayed at Papakea -- in Building B -- but these earlier stays were in non-VRBO 2nd-floor units. This was the first time I stayed in B105. The unit is as lovely as the pictures suggest. The location is great. The ocean view is about as good as you can get without paying a premium for an oceanfront unit. This particular unit is stocked with just about everything you could need (except a corkscrew so, if you're a wine lover, grab one at Target or Safeway on your way to the property!). For those who have stayed at Papakea in the past, you are likely familiar with the front-desk staff. They certainly operate on island time, and my experience with them was the same as when I stayed in non-VRBO units. During this particular stay, there were a few hiccups related to delays/miscommunication between the front desk, the management company and the owner. But the owner was very responsive and apologetic as we worked to resolve everything. If you are planning to book any excursions while you're in Maui, Papakea has an Expedia concierge on site; it is very easy to discuss your options before booking anything. I recommend meeting with the concierge upon check-in, as some of the more popular excursions book up quickly. Papakea is within walking distance of a small shopping center, restaurants and public beaches. It is also a short drive to Kaanapali Beach, as well as Kapalua, Lahaina and all of the West Maui attractions. If you're a beach lover, keep this in mind: Unless the tide is low, don't expect to find a beach on property. But, no worries, there are many, many beaches to discover and explore around the island. Jun 23, 2016 The cleanest and most luxorious condo in papakea I've been staying at the papakea resort for years. I have rented many 1-2 bedroom condos. This unit by far was the cleanest and the most modern unit by far. The owners were awesome to deal with. We had a minor hiccup upon check up but the owners were on top of it and willing to go above and beyond to fix the problem. When we come back to papakea we will be staying here for sure. kevin d.
May 10, 2016 Wonderful condo with a lovely view! My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary this year and we had a fabulous time in Maui!! We were so glad we chose this condo. The condo is exactly as described and shown. The bed is very comfortable. The condo has an airconditioner but we did not use it as the condo is cleverly designed to take advantage of the trade winds and they cool it down quite nicely. The condo is tastefully updated, everything is in perfect condition and it is spotless. The kitchen has all you need to prepare just about any meal. We were delighted to have beach chairs and a great Tommy Bahamas beach umbrella provided as we are always at the beach. The Papakea resort is so well maintained and the gardens are spectacular. The view from the condo is very lovely and peaceful. It is within walking distance to grocery stores and great coffee shops. Beth is a treat to work with very helpful and quick to respond. I highly recommend this property we liked it so much we are coming back to stay next year! Jennifer I.
Dec 11, 2015 Perfect Condo We stayed for 5 weeks and it was all we hoped for! I miss it already. The Condo was both modern and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The king size bed was very comfortable and the pull out, when used, was also great. From the lanai we could both see and hear the ocean waves crashing - and hearing the ocean is even better than seeing it! We loved being on the ground floor - making it easy to walk out to the pool, BBQs, shuffleboard and mini-golf. Friends of ours stayed in other units and all agreed ours was the best one. Kimberly s.
Jul 21, 2015 Family vacation for three! This condo was perfect for our family vacation. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including a beautifully remodeled, well stocked(pots, pans, etc)kitchen for eating in. The property has many amenities including pool/hot tub, propane grills, shuffle board, mini golf, beach access and also an awesome activities concierge, Ululani. She was fantastic in helping plan our island activities. There are grocery stores, snorkel shops, coffee, fresh fish/fruit markets all with in easy walking distance. And a short drive to some incredible restaurants in Lahaina or Kapalua. Sensei Sushi was delicious! So relaxing to sit on the patio at the end of the day and watch the sun set. The grounds are beautiful with and ocean view. The only thing that would have made the stay 100% perfect, is the couch, pull out bed. My mom slept there and she is 60 and I guess unlike every pull out they are not the most comfortable. But other than that one little thing it was GREAT, nicely remodeled, with a beautiful kitchen. Feb 01, 2015 Honeymoon Trip! We arrived at Papakea B105 on Saturday, December 27, 2014 for our honeymoon. As soon as we walked into the condo, we were blown away. The kitchen was immaculate and featured new stainless appliances and a large breakfast bar with seating. The shower and bathroom facilities were equally luxurious. In fact, we started talking about how we wanted to re-model our own bathroom to match the one we saw. The condo was on the ground level, which was great and provided easy access to a putting green, shuffleboard, and large pool and hot tub right outside (maybe 50 feet away). The view of the ocean was incredible from the second we walked outside. The view is spectacular! The pool also had a cabana where on Thursday we enjoyed some drinks provided by the resort. We went during a busy time in Maui, however, it did not feel like this. I was amazed by how much room we had wherever we went. Lounging chairs were always available! With Whaler’s Village being 4 miles away, we decided to trek on the beach and see if we could make it. It was a wonderful walk there and back. Some of the time was beach walk, but for the most part it was a boardwalk and wonderful to have the ocean right at our feet. Right across the street from the main entrance was a strip mall with several neat places to eat and drink, one of which was called Java Jazz, where we had breakfast and coffee. To the left of the main entrance there is Fish Market Maui, which had the best fish tacos we have ever had. The Farmer’s Market is to the left a couple blocks down on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We discovered fresh local produce, and the best avocados we have ever had. Samples were generously given so that you could taste everything before buying it. Our other favorite was the passion fruit cream cheese and freshly baked bagels. The condo was so clean and exceeded our expectations. The king size bed was perfect for just the two of us. Next time though, we will have two more people with us and we are excited to be sleeping on the brand new pull out couch. We loved our stay here and will be back. We would not hesitate to recommend this condo to any of our friends that will be vacationing to Maui. Kevin E.

Apr 19, 2023 Best place to stay in Maui! Our family was amazed how clean and fresh the unit is. I've read a lot of not so good reviews on some units at Papakea but this one is definitely not! 10/10 in terms of cleanliness, amenities and location on the resort. Can see the pool and ocean and sunset from the porch. King-sized bed is so comfortable, there's also a queen-sized sofa bed at the living room. Kitchen is so well-equipped, in-suite laundry and dryer was a big help, and after a day's adventure, the 2 airconditioners in the living room and the bedroom totally lulls you to a complete rest and relaxation ready for next day's adventure. Megan and the Stice team are so accommodating and easy to speak with. Kudos to the team and the unit owners for such a beautiful unit and giving our family an amazing stay! Eliza D.
