Our family had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous Portlock home on the East side of Honolulu

Our family had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous Portlock home on the East side of Honolulu. A full bath in each bedroom and a huge chef's kitchen made it so comfortable and spacious and the view is spectacular!  Looking out at the Pacific Ocean with Diamond Head in the background made watching the sunset a must every evening. The Honolulu city lights and the cool trade winds kept us outside late into the night.  Truly lovely. Hawaii Kai Shopping Center is minutes away with lots of restaurants, markets, shops and a Costco made it so easy to buy groceries or take out meals. Just 5 minutes up the street, we enjoyed snorkeling at Hanauma Bay and swimming with the fishes. Really cool. We hiked the nearby and strenuous Koko Head Trail that took us a while, but was definitely worth the trek up as the views are incredible. We look forward to returning and vacationing again at this beautiful home and experiencing the Hawaiian lifestyle.

This property is offered as a monthly rental. Although full-month occupancy is not required, the monthly rate remains fixed and applies in full, regardless of the number of nights stayed, as prorated rates are not available.

Hale Makana is a luxurious, single-level estate in Hawaii Kai’s most coveted oceanfront neighborhood. This five-bedroom, seven-bathroom property is the perfect getaway for single and joint families. With front yard views worthy of a postcard, you can expect to find paradise in the comfort of your own home.

Inside Hale Makana, you’ll be greeted with upscale, modern furnishings accompanied by charming island decor. With spacious interior design and towering ceilings, you'll find plenty of room for family, friends, and guests. The open-concept living room blends impressively with the kitchen and dining room area, which share a central AC unit. Upon waking in your primary bedroom, you’ll be met with breathtaking views of Diamondhead above the balmy, blue ocean. Cozy, island-style guest rooms are paired with individual bathrooms and split AC units.

Outside Hale Makana, you’ll be delighted by elegant foliage and a manicured front lawn. The covered lanai is the perfect place to smell a morning ocean breeze, or watch the sun descend over the Honolulu skyline. After a day spent in the Hawaii sun, the inground pool is the ideal spot to cool off with an ice-cold mai tai in hand.

Despite its premier location tucked away in the neighborhood of Portlock, you’ll discover that Hale Makana is just a short trip to many of Oahu’s most renowned natural attractions. Within 15 minutes of driving, you'll find yourself marveling at landmarks such as Koko Crater, Hanauma Bay, Makapuu Point, and Waimanalo Beach. Should you crave vibrant nightlife and shopping, a 20-minute drive will land you on the world-famous Waikiki strip.

All bookings are subject to a flat rate Utility Fee of $1,000 and the fee is charged per month for any stays 30+ days.
