We all really enjoyed our stay! More then enough room for our group. Plenty of lounging room with breath taking views! Fully kitted out kitchen with a great range and quality tools. Ticked all the boxes!!

My family , six adults and 4 kids, had an amazing time at this gorgeous property. it looks exactly as the pics! It is big enough we weren’t tripping over each other. The location is perfect and the views are stunning! The kitchen was such a joy to cook in with the viking stove. There was plenty of parking available. I would definitely recommend this property and I would stay here again!

Came with our family of 9 to stay at this beautiful home in La Jolla. The pictures on Airbnb do not do the views justice. Spacious ocean views from every room! Really incredible! Had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our thanksgiving feast. Would go again

Aug 18, 2016 Location and Views Spectacular Rented home for 3 nights to celebrate a 40th birthday party. 5 couples stayed in the home. Location and views are spectacular, with ocean views from virtually every room in the house. Rental management company was helpful in pre-stocking the kitchen with groceries, as well as recommending a personal chef to hire during our stay and massage therapists to provide in-home services. While the homes decor is a bit dated, the beds and linens used were very, very good. While the kitchen is a bit small, it is very well appointed and has everything you need to prepare large meals. It's important to note that two of the five bedrooms are somewhat open with the master bedroom being an open loft over-hanging another bedroom/gym below. Since our group consisted of close friends, this open lay-out did not bother us. Only complaint I have is in respect to the size of the house. It is listed as nearly 6,000 square feet, yet tax records confirm it is just under 5,000 square feet. Overall, this is a wonderful home and highly recommended for families. Ken R

Apr 12, 2024 Best of La Jolla Lucky for us the owners of this house decided to put it on Airbnb rather than sell it. I can't imagine how many millions of dollars it's worth. It's in the hills of La Jolla and the view of the ocean is absolutely huge and magical. Bring your best binoculars. The entire house is built around maximizing the view with gigantic windows and such. Every bedroom is unique, we especially loved the bedroom in a large and fully stocked library, although the master bedroom was quite ornate and fun as well. It has one of those showers with 6 heads in it. ahhhhh... It was in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. No noise at all. And best of all, you're right there in La Jolla, kind of a Laguna Beach on steroids with a focus on fitness instead of art. Loved, loved, loved it! Kevin

May 03, 2024 The photos and descriptions do not do this place justice. This was way better than we imagined! The host was extremely helpful and responsive to any request or questions we had. They even let us extend our checkout time to allow us a place to keep our stuff while we waited for our late flight. We also forgot something and figured it would just get trashed but nope! They contacted me and gave an option to ship it to us. I’m shocked at how great the host, the house, and location was. They made this stay feel like a complete dream. 10/10 highly recommend! Jun 21, 2024 The home is pretty and suitably furnished and the view is amazing. We had 2 elderly family members 80+ and requested early check-in. The best they could do was 3pm, 1 hour before. Check out however, is 10am which seems on the early side. Also, hot water was intermittent in showers. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Michael Parker

May 03, 2024 The house is a great place to stay for a group of any size. The biggest draw (and value) of this home is the view - a full 180 degree ocean view with the village of La Jolla below. On top of that, the management company keeps the house spotless and the beds are extremely comfortable. Add to it the quietness of the neighborhood, and this is a great place to unwind after a full day of experiencing the San Diego area sights. There are some areas of the home with deferred maintenance such as chipped sinks, fireplaces who do not work, and water damage from the recent storms in Southern California. However, the beauty of the home, the view, and the high quality of cleanliness maintained by Gather Vacations let these fade away quickly. If given the chance, will definitely return. Joshua Rolstad

May 03, 2024 This property does not look like the pictures besides the views. The property looks like a before and after based on the photos in the listing and what the property actually looks like. It looks as though it has been abandoned and very little has been done to keep it up. The floors are cracked or scraped throughout the entire home, the walls have tons of scrapes, marks, paint chips, simple things that could be fixed with even a magic eraser and a bit of care. The office has water damage or some sort of mold you can look at as you check out the view. The patio furniture also has mold which goes along with the disgusting and dirty pool and spa. Overall this property should not be listed as luxury in any way as ripped screens, cracked power outlets, and old boots and pregnancy tests in the closet are not luxury. When I communicated my disappointment to the host I was told I was getting it as a discounted rate and they would note this. This property is a scam and Airbnb won't protect you. Arlyne Marella

Jan 23, 2025 Odd half moon shaped driveway - created parking limitations; 2 bedrooms open to each other so offered no privacy for two family members; poor cleaning (4 inches of drain hair, skylight cowebs/flies; porch glass partitions dirty; hot tub dirty); cavernous - every sound echoes; light switches everywhere with no logic (up is off, down is on or vice versa) and poor lighting in bathrooms to put on makeup; water is weak with temperature issues; wifi intermittent; too many communicators (one is automated, others are people); hot tub never worked with no resolution, no water glasses, no salt (which is a basic staple). I hope I have identified things that the property manager can address. The view from the house is spectacular. The art in the house is interesting. Our family had a great time seeing San Diego and watching sunsets. The owner of the home is someone who has given much to the world. Marina WIldsmith

Jul 13, 2025 The house was amazing. The views are stunning, from each angle of the house and we got to enjoy the July 4th fireworks from our living room, which was such a treat. It was a very large house and it comfortably accommodated 11 of us without running into each other, it was very spacious and had lots of amenities for us such as stocked kitchen and pantry with small supplies. We were also greeted in person which was nice. It was a great base for our explorations into San Diego. Lisha J
Jun 28, 2025 We had a relaxing stay at this property. It's perfect for a family vacation with tiny kiddos. The open layout made it easy to relax and spend time together, and the heated pool was a highlight for everyone. The home was clean (minus a few dirty dishes likely from prior guests) and has a beautiful view of San Diego. We didn’t have contact with the property manager after check-in, but overall we didn’t really need assistance. Would recommend for families with kiddos looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway.
