Kahana Sunset was enjoyable

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kahana Sunset provided a really enjoyable stay for us. The grounds were very well tended and offered a family friendly environment. Lots of green space and lanai. The management was easy to communicate with checking in and out. It's a great place to stay on the west side without being in a high rise...less commercial and cozier and the people who work there are super friendly and share lots of aloha. (They passed out fresh bananas and limes from the property when we were having coffee on our lanai.) The beach might be smaller, but it was perfectly suited to watch the sunsets or take a quick dip. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and so many turtles were visible every day. Also, if you want to go to church, there's a really sweet local one right above the property called Door of Faith.

Celebrating my 50th bday!

This property was perfect for me and my fiance. When we arrived the first wow was the view from the condo, perfect little secluded beach and then when we opened the door to the condo we were wowed again! It was nice, cool, clean and the kitchen was nicely equipped with everything you need to make your own breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, all you had to do was go to the market which was less than 5 minutes away and get your groceries. The bedroom was a very nice size with a TV and comfortable king size bed. The sunsets were gorgeous every evening, the water was nice and cool and we saw a few turtles. We had a rental car and were able to do our own sight-seeing around the island but there are plenty of beaches all within 20 minutes or less of the property. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maui.

Beautiful condo!!!

We loved this place!! The decor, the view and the private beach were all fantastic!! My only recommendation would be to upgrade the bedroom TV, it is very small.

Sep 24, 2024 Gorgeous spot This property is absolutely lovely! There was a beach during our stay, my guess is during the winter months there isn’t. The water and beach in front of the complex were amazing. Just a perfect place to enjoy the ocean, especially if you like calm water, again winter is probably a different story. Sep 24, 2024 We love Kahana Sunset Wonderful property and setting. We come and visit every year and can't get enough. It is one of the best-kept secrets on the island. The view from the patio is great and the grounds are well-kept and beautiful. The unit has been upgraded and is in great shape. Nice bathroom, well-stocked kitchen, two large flat-screen TVs, all the beach supplies you need. It was just my wife and I for our 30th anniversary, so we didn't need much. The only negative was the bed. The mattress is a bit dated and not as firm as we would have liked. It probably needs to be replaced in the near future. But other than that, 5 stars! Jim S.

Sep 24, 2024 Taste of Paradise This gem of a location was ideal! The Kahana Sunset condos are nestled around a small private cove. This location has perfect views of the ocean and, as the name suggests, gorgeous sunsets. Turtles regularly play around the rocks by the cove and the water is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. There was a bit of rain but that didn't diminish the experience. We swam in the pool instead. There were several other families but it never felt crowded. The location is minutes from a grocery store in Napili and the kitchen was fully stocked so we could make meals when we didn't feel like going out to eat. Probably the best amenity was the washer/dryer. This made it really easy and comfortable to swim multiple times a day without having to deal with wet suits and towels. We'd definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Leif E.

Sep 24, 2024 Gorgeous, Friendly and perfect setting Have not been here for thirty years but loved it as much as ever. The unit was updated, great location in the complex, and very comfortable. The A/C worked great and kept us cool when it got a little too hot outside. All Amenities were up to date and well stocked. Perfect for just the two of us for 11 nights. Dec 06, 2024 The apartment is great and conveniently located near the best beaches, like Kapalua Bay. It's an excellent size for a couple and has a fully equipped kitchen. A few points to note: the bed was sagging, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on, and the bedroom air conditioning wasn’t cooling properly and was quite noisy, so we ended up sleeping in the living room. Unit B4B was clean, well decorated and furnished and well supplied with lines, kitchen equipment, etc. The unit is older and showing its wear and tear but still quite nice. The bathroom is very smal and a confined space. A good renovation in the near future would be a welcomed improvement. Had some problems working the lights, fans and TV's with multiple remotes that were confusing. Be prepared for long, steep, slanted stairs from the parking lot to the unit level. We were not! For people with personal mobility issues, it is not the best. The grounds were well maintained and quite attractive. Glad we booked this unit but would perhaps not do so again due to the stairs. With access to the ocean and a warm pool, you can spend your days relaxing right here without having to drive anywhere. The unit was clean and provided so many extras for making the trip better like chairs, umbrellas and floatation devices. The only con was that you can hear the upstairs neighbors and if they are like the people who were here when we were, it will wake you up when they open and close the sliding door (which was as early as 5am daily for us). Aug 15, 2023 Kahana stay with teens. The property is wonderful. Beautiful grounds, everything you need is right there. Grounds keepers were wonderful and brought us fresh fruit. Pool was decent. Beach is small but still nice little bay to snorkel in. Stunning views of sunset. BBQ Area kept very nice and clean. Condo had everything we needed. Thank you for the coffee it was great.We liked being away from the hustle and bustle of the larger resorts so the location of your unit was perfect for us. Jan 28, 2022 Unbelievable Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Steps away from the private beach and pool. Amazing view from every window. Beautifully renovated kitchen. The only issue was no spatula, which made scrambled eggs a little tricky lol. But when you’re in paradise, no spatula is no biggie. I love being on the ground floor for access, but we could really hear chairs scraping the floor above us, early in the morning (5am) and evening. It is a nicely renovated unit, with a/c and a small patio, traffic walks by your patio, so it is not private. But, the views from your patio are beautiful! The complex has its own private sandy swimming cove, good for snorkeling, swimming, turtle sightings, whale watching! Beautiful. The location of the complex is in a residential area, so not a lot of walking to do in the area, because there are few sidewalks. But, it is just a short (10 minute) walk to the Napili grocery store, a few restaurants. So that was very handy. Close drive to some nice hiking on the Kapalua Trails! And close drive to Kaanapali, Kapalua. Nice stay. Unit was clean but kitchen cabinets could use a clean on the outside. There is a funky smell if you leave the shutters open in the bathroom, just keep them closed. The bathroom is basically underground. BBQs are very nice and handy to the unit as well. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I had a wonderful time, loved the property we are already planning on returning in 2023 and staying with you again. Only complaint would be the the bathroom needs a fan, it could be the cause to the musty smell in the unit. Absolute pleasure staying at the property. The staff was pleasant and friendly.
